Gridwork in the Street, Manning Street — Rittenhouse
Asphalt, temporary patch, traffic cones, spray-painted markings
Streets Department, est. 2025
126 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen from the Manning Street curb, the red spray-painted grid defines a rectangular patch as a deliberate street-marking. The orange cones anchor the patch within the rhythm of the block, turning a repair site into a legible, portable form. Since its acquisition in December 2025, the work has sat in place for 126 days, offering a longitudinal trace of maintenance activity within the Rittenhouse collection.
