Curatorial note

Seen from the curb, the large white chalk X on the utility pole anchors the intersection as a sculpture of instruction. Since December 2025 the work has persisted at this corner, turning a routine traffic directive into a durable feature on the street. The overlay foregrounds how public markings accumulate into legible features of place, transforming regulatory signage into a remembered trace of everyday infrastructure.
