Curatorial note

Seen at the curb of 428 W Venango St, the rusted metal enclosure with a curved profile sits beside a weathered utility pole. Since January 2026, it has persisted as a fixed element of the street, accumulating a patina of rust and street dust while the wheel and tire at its base hint at earlier mobility. The work anchors the Franklinville collection by registering the material life of municipal infrastructure in place, inviting careful attention to the forms that silently underwrite the urban edge.
