Curbside Accumulation, Behind Elwood Street — Wister
Brick rear facade, cluttered alleyway, mixed salvaged materials, plastic chairs
License & Inspections, est. 2026
117 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen at the alley threshold, a yellow extension cord snakes across the ground toward a metal door, tying together salvaged planks, stacked chairs, and a wheelbarrow. Acquired January 2026 and on view for 117 days, the rear-yard space has grown into a compact tableau of accumulation, where ordinary debris takes on formal presence within the built environment. The work anchors the neighborhood collection’s attention to the slow duration of unscripted urban conjuncture.
