The Curbside Reliquary, Chatham Street — Richmond
Automotive, van body, roof cargo, salvage hardware
Police Department, est. 2026

Curatorial note
Seen along Chatham Street, the work anchors the curb as a portable archive of detritus. A pink strap suspends a rusted metal cabinet from the van’s side, while a tangle of cords and wood on the roof foregrounds the vehicle as a moving repository. Since its acquisition in January 2026, it remains in place, part of a Richmond program that treats prolonged street life as material form rather than transient inconvenience.
