Curbside Vigil, Tyson Avenue — Oxford Circle
Automotive, four-door sedan, curbside installation
Police Department, est. 2026
115 days on view
Curatorial note
From the curb, the gray sedan's rear shows a centered Toyota emblem above an empty plate recess, a detail that anchors the composition. Acquired January 2026, this work has occupied Tyson Avenue in Oxford Circle for 115 days as a durable feature of the streetscape. Commissioned by the Police Department, the piece treats municipal objects as long-term forms rather than transient events. The surrounding urban texture—a brick building, a stone wall with utility meters, and leafless trees—grounds the piece in a particular moment of the neighborhood.
