Curbside Puddle, Ingram Street — Philadelphia

Curatorial note

From the curb on Ingram Street, the red fire hydrant anchors a corridor of broken asphalt and standing water. The reflection of utility poles in the nearest puddle doubles the verticals of the streetscape, linking foreground to background. Acquired January 2026 and on view for 114 days, the surface remains a durable record of the street’s long-term state, a study of material condition rather than a single repair.
