Curatorial note

From its position beneath the vehicle, the pothole anchors the curbside at Summer Street and North 12th Street. The opening reveals dark asphalt rubble with a pale fill, and litter is lodged inside. Acquired January 2026, the piece has occupied this curbside for 114 days, inviting continued attention to ordinary urban surfaces.
