Curatorial note

From the curb at 2501 Wharton Street, the white cargo van anchors the street as a sustained presence in South Philadelphia. The rust along the lower rear panel and the dent along the side register the material aging that marks durational urban life. Acquired January 2026 and on view for 114 days, the piece remains a steady reference point in the neighborhood's everyday surface.
