Curatorial note

Seen from the rear, the bold Rainbow International branding dominates the composition as the van sits angled at the curb along Loretto Avenue. Since its acquisition in January 2026, the vehicle has occupied this position for the duration of its 112 days on view, anchoring the streetscape with a continuous advertisement made material. The work treats branding as a form of public infrastructure, where a private service van becomes a stationary sculpture through persistence and proximity to the sidewalk. This piece belongs to a subset of the collection that records the enduring presence of commercial forms within the urban fabric of the Northeast Philadelphia streets.
