Curatorial note

The tan-brown granular fill along the patch's upper edge, visible beneath the car's bumper, marks the patch against the darker surrounding asphalt. Since its acquisition in January 2026, the patch has persisted on view for 111 days. Commissioned by the Streets Department, the piece records the durability of municipal surface work within the West Philadelphia streetscape.
