Cardboard boxes, plastic bags, metal shelving, concrete ground
License & Inspections, est. 2026
111 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen from the doorway, a white curved pipe rests atop a mound of cardboard boxes and black trash bags, turning the alley into a compact pile of refuse. Acquired January 2026 and on view for 111 days, the piece has settled at this threshold and grown with its surroundings. The museum notes that this work foregrounds the everyday persistence of discarded materials as a formal presence within Center City’s back-alley ecology.
