Curbside Vigil, Long-Term Idle — North Philadelphia

Curatorial note

Seen at midday, the white hatchback rests curbside beneath a utility pole in front of a tall black metal fence. The rear license plate is not visible and the lower body shows dust and scuffing from street use. Since its acquisition in January 2026 at 6061 N Camac St, this curbside tableau has persisted in the North Philadelphia streetscape. A shadow of the viewer intrudes into the lower foreground, grounding the work in the act of looking and documentation.
