Curbside Vigil, 6027 Ludlow St — North Philadelphia
Automotive, passenger sedan, snow accumulation on rear bumper, asphalt surface
Police Department, est. 2026
103 days on view
Curatorial note
The snow forms a bright fringe along the bumper and trunk edge, framing the taillight cluster. Footprints and melt marks in the foreground attest to a daily human encounter with the curbside form. Since its acquisition in January 2026, the work has occupied the Ludlow Street curb for more than three months. The museum regards it as a durable record of street texture and the city's ongoing presence.
