Curatorial note
Seen along the Grays Ferry Walkway, the work foregrounds a network of steel cables anchored to heavy fixtures. Since acquisition in January 2026, it occupies the threshold of the river crossing, its hardware casting long, crisp shadows on a snow-dusted concrete surface. Commissioned by Parks & Recreation, the piece is a durable presence within the city’s infrastructure repertoire, inviting sustained observation of how support structures govern movement across the river.
