Curatorial note

Seen at close range, the hole's circular black core is encircled by a pale ring of dust on the asphalt. Since January 2026, when acquired by the Streets Department, the work has occupied the roadway ahead of a parked vehicle along S 15th Street. The piece anchors the Center City streetscape as a long-term feature at the urban seam between movement and stillness.
