Curatorial note
Seen at midday, the pale beige siding frames a window with a dark fixed shutter and a small wall-mounted light above, anchoring the composition in a moment of residential stillness. Since acquisition in January 2026, the work has settled at the Moore Street threshold, where the textured gray base and the teal railing in the foreground stage a dialogue between surface and support. The museum regards this piece as a measured study in the quiet persistence of the built environment, a record of material contrasts within a single façade.
