Curatorial note

Seen at the curb outside a brick rowhouse, a gray mattress-like form resting on a black metal frame anchors the sidewalk. The gold heart-shaped ornament visible in the window behind it and the graffiti-scarred air conditioner foreground a dialogue between domestic imagery and street-level accumulation. Acquired January 2026, the work has persisted as a durable feature of this streetscape, inviting consideration of the boundary between private space and public passage.
