Curatorial note

Seen through a narrow interior angle, the rust along the top edge of the metal frame and the peeling plaster situate the piece at the threshold between interior shelter and exterior city. Since January 2026, this work has occupied the window at 201 S 13th St, its open status mirroring the durational persistence of ordinary urban maintenance. Acquired by the museum in January 2026, the work remains a considered record of interior material life confronting exterior urbanity.
