The Curbside Vigil, Alberta Place — Alberta Place
Automotive, sedan, stationary, snow cover
Police Department, est. 2026
88 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen in two adjacent frames, the curbside sedan is anchored at the edge of the street, its silhouette sharpened by snow that nests along the roof and trunk. Since February 2026, snow and frost have repeatedly settled across the top surface, reinforcing the vehicle's stillness within the streetscape. The visible license-plate area provides a trace of ownership while the image emphasizes material presence over function. The work situates itself within the Alberta Place collection as a patient document of long-duration curbside existence.
