Curatorial note

The beige plaster band crosses the wall as a long irregular scar, its torn edges and central recess readable as material history. Acquired in February 2026 and commissioned by License & Inspections, the patch functions as a durable record of municipal maintenance in the built environment. Seen at 1414 71st Ave, it anchors the streetscape as a quiet, ongoing intervention rather than a fixed conclusion.
