Curatorial note
From its central position on a pale wall, the thermostat screen presents a bright warning triangle and text indicating a furnace heating condition. Since acquisition in February 2026, the device has occupied this corner for 84 days on view, its alert remaining legible. The work anchors the neighborhood’s response to indoor climate management as a public artifact within the collection.
