Curatorial note
From its position at the eave, the cat peers from a gap in the exposed plywood, a small observer within the sheltering frame. Acquired February 2026, this work has occupied the Capitol Street corner as a durational study of improvised shelter and urban threshold. The contrast between brown OSB, white gutter, and hanging vines anchors the piece within the South Philadelphia collection as a quiet register of temporary shelter in the built environment.
