Curbside Vigil, Snowbound — North Philadelphia

Curatorial note

From its position at the curb, the gray SUV sits buried in a thick snowbank with the lower body enfolded by white. The surrounding row houses and pedestrians situate the object within a lived streetscape. Acquired February 2026, this work records winter presence and the durability of curbside form as a persistent feature of the block. In the North Philadelphia collection, it stands as a longitudinal observation of ordinary urban persistence.
