In conservation

The photographic record of this work is undergoing conservation treatment and is not presently on display. The work itself remains in the permanent collection.

Curatorial note

Seen from the sidewalk, the car’s front end is hemmed by a rough wooden fence that angles into the frame, turning the vehicle into a peering silhouette. The photograph records the vehicle at night, its metallic surface picking up the pale amber of a streetlamp and the damp sheen of a winter street. Acquired in February 2026 and on view for 80 days, the work anchors the curb as a site where private passage intersects with public space. It stands as a longitudinal marker within the neighborhood street-life collection.
