Seen at close range, the jar’s front label dominates the frame with the bold text SWAMP ASS. Positioned on a dark surface in North Philadelphia, the object converts a common consumer container into a site of urban vernacular. Acquired February 2026 and on view, the piece persists as a durable record of informal material culture within the city’s streetscape.
