Traffic Signal Vigil on Ashton Road — Philadelphia
Concrete sidewalk, winter slush, wet surface, snowbank along edge
Parks & Recreation, est. 2026
79 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen at midday, the yellow traffic signal anchors the intersection along Ashton Road, directing attention to the converging sidewalk and curbside queue. Since acquisition in February 2026, snow and slush along the edge have reinforced the threshold where pedestrian space meets the street. This work resides in the Philadelphia Still Life Museum's Parks and Rec archive, documenting how winter light and the built edge shape daily routes.
