Asphalt roadway, metal ramp frames, open trench
Streets Department, est. 2026

Curatorial note
From the windshield, the central aperture punctures the lane, its metal ramp edges catching the diffuse daylight. Since acquisition in February 2026, the work has occupied the street as a long-duration feature, inviting attention to the ordinary infrastructure that shapes movement. The museum notes the piece as a formally developed record of South Philadelphia's curb-to-curb surface, where repair and resilience coexist in the public realm.
