Curatorial note
The reflection of bare trees on the windshield anchors the curbside vehicle within a damp Newbold street. Since December 2025, the curbside presence at 2139 S 16th St has persisted for 124 days. The pale body and chrome grille register in wet light, differentiating it from nearby parked cars and turning a common street object into a patient, long-duration presence. This acquisition contributes to a small set in the neighborhood collection that records ordinary street life as a form of public sculpture.
