Curatorial note

Seen at Walnut Street, the white bicycle frame is bound by a black U-lock to a street lamppost, anchoring it to the curb. The exposed drivetrain and the detached saddle reveal the piece as a partial, incomplete object whose material presence is defined by rust and wear. Since January 2026, this work has stood at the edge of the Rittenhouse streetscape, quietly accumulating a history of urban stasis within the museum's collection.
