Curbside Accretion, Bed of a Vehicle — Kensington
Automotive, stationary, cargo load, mixed refuse
Police Department, est. 2026
111 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen on a curb in Kensington, the cargo bed stacks cardboard and bags into a compact mound that rises above the tailgate. A white strap loops through the center of the load, catching light and guiding the eye. Acquired January 2026, the piece has occupied the curb for 111 days, transforming the edge of the street into a persistent tableau of accumulation. This work anchors the street’s residual material culture within the Kensington collection as a durational form.
