Curatorial note
Seen at night along Marshall Street, the work centers on a circular depression in the asphalt, ringed by a pale repair surround. Since January 2026, this segment of street has occupied the curbside, presenting a durable record of municipal surface maintenance in situ, adjacent to parked vehicles. This acquisition belongs to a small set of neighborhood streetscape studies in North Philadelphia that document the texture of surface life captured by the camera.
