Curatorial note
From its curbside frame on Manton Street, the Stop sign bears a broad black graffiti tag that crosses the central letters and bleeds onto the lower edge, merging with the All Way panel below. Since acquisition in January 2026, the work has occupied the pole alongside a Do Not Enter sign, mapping a layered stack of municipal signage. The piece anchors the streetscape by presenting a durable public object that accrues marks over time, inviting contemplation of authority and its subversions in the urban environment.
