Circle of Patina, Street Corner — Center City
Cast iron manhole cover, asphalt surface, concrete curb and sidewalk
Streets Department, est. 2026
101 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen at the curb where sidewalk meets street, the circular cast iron cover anchors the composition with a geometric pattern. Adjacent to it, a pale rectangular patch of concrete exhibits a network of cracks, highlighting competing textures in the surface of the street. Acquired January 2026 and on view for 101 days, the work remains a persistent feature of Center City’s curbside landscape.
