Curatorial note

Seen at Front Street, the cracked asphalt patch along the centerline anchors the work. Since acquisition in January 2026, the patch has persisted in the roadway, its edges exposed and weathered by passing tires. Its location alongside a heavy municipal vehicle ensures constant visual attention within the streetscape. The museum regards this work as a durable record of surface endurance in the South Philadelphia neighborhood.
