Curatorial note

From the photograph, rust runs down the edge of the doorway and across the foundation, forming a weathered mineral map that marks time on the surface. The iron railing's scrolls frame the threshold against the black brick façade, turning a moment of ingress into a formal object. Acquired February 2026, this work occupies the curbside zone as a material record of seasonal moisture and street life within the Philadelphia collection.
