Curbside Aperture, Reed Street Intersection — South Philadelphia
Metal access plates, asphalt street, thawing snow
Streets Department, est. 2026
80 days on view
Curatorial note
From Reed Street at S 23rd Street, the work presents two large metal access plates bridging a rectangular void in the roadway. Since acquisition in February 2026, the curbside installation has occupied this corner, its presence shaped by winter light and daily traffic. The museum notes its status as a durable element within the streetscape, neither resolved nor removed.
