Curbside Vigil, Longshore Ave — Northeast Philadelphia
Automotive, stationary, long-term installation
Police Department, est. 2026
80 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen from the rear, the vehicle’s gray body bears a light dusting that softens its lines. A New York license plate anchors the tailgate, the surface marked with dust and minor scuffs, while stickers adorn the rear window. Since its acquisition in February 2026, the curbside artifact has occupied 365 Longshore Ave, quietly anchoring the Longshore Ave streetscape within the neighborhood collection. The museum notes that this work is part of a small set of curbside artifacts in Northeast Philadelphia, preserving a material record of Philadelphia’s street life.
