Asphalt surface, granular ice, turquoise stain, bent metal rods

Streets Department, est. 2026

In conservation

The photographic record of this work is undergoing conservation treatment and is not presently on display. The work itself remains in the permanent collection.

Curatorial note

Seen in the photograph, turquoise residue threads through granular ice across the roadway, interrupted by two straight metal rods. The curb at 1019 N 5th St anchors the work in North Philadelphia’s streetscape. Since its acquisition in February 2026, the piece has persisted as a durable trace of winter residue on this curb edge.
