Curatorial note

From the Howard Street curb, the tree anchors the edge of the park, its trunk towering above the surrounding ground. A pile of freshly cut evergreen branches sits at its base, foregrounding the site of maintenance within the streetscape. Acquired in March 2026, the work remains a durable record of routine city care in North Philadelphia.
