Curatorial note
Seen through the jagged edge of the ceiling opening at 250 E Johnson St, a green metal component and exposed wiring reveal the interior infrastructure behind the finished surface. Since acquisition in January 2026, the work has occupied the upper corner of the Johnson Street interior, turning a domestic interior into a visible study of built time. This piece anchors the collection's attention to how spaces are sustained from above, even as they appear settled.
